Thoughts On Cass Tech

There have been many truths about Cass Technical High School; one of them is not having a winning football team. Today that change, along with other changes to Cass Tech this year. The demolition to the old building; where I spent all of my four years at the school and now today where I saw winners. The football team led by the track coach, a freshman quarterback and Division 1 college football defense destroyed one of the top football programs in the state of Michigan, Detroit Catholic Central 49-13. As I was watching the game and saw the scoreboard, the whole thing felt weird to me. The whole game, especially the fourth quarter felt a moment of sobriety as scores of alcoholics and drug addicts decided to pour their vices into the Detroit River and blindly celebrating this amazing victory. It weird because, I saw the football in front of my eyes for four years; and never thought they will win a state championship now they are atop of the world. The feeling is great and I happy for those boys wearing the Forest Green and White; today the saying is true: Cass Tech: Second to None!
